Wi-fi - Internet problem

I am finding that when I away from a wifi signal I cannot get a connection for Internet. I have an Xperia m2 on O2. I have their wifi app but find it doesn't work although it finds nearby hotspots but a large majority need a password ! How can I keep a good internet signal all the time

Hi lynxeffect1951,

When moving away from a Wifi connection losing the Internet is completely normal, if you have network supplied data then you may need to download your Internet settings to make sure you can use it.

Menu > Settings > More > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > Choose network carrier

Once done see if this works.
