And that's why I try to track the problem.

First when selecting flight mode it would help, but now out of a sudden not any more. The problem is getting worse because now also the touch screen and apps are getting blocked. Anybody any soltion or tip?

Thanks.

Hi, I am afraid I can't offer any solutions, only confirming that this is an issue. Over the last 5 to ten weeks the Android OS has taken the major part of my battery capasity, usually between 25 and 35 per cent. I event suspect it is more, as I have to charge the battery at least twice per 24 hour with moderate use and no kind of social media apps.

I'd be very happy to know if anyone knows of a fix to this.

PS: The OS 7.1.1 (with security update 1. September) and all apps have latest updates.

I had a similar problem about a week ago but with Android system it was always the first on the list even when I'm not using the phone, this is what i did:

1.i turned off battery care and smart cleaner.

2. I made sure that location history and location sharing and nfc are off.

3. I turned off wifi and Bluetooth scanning, setting-location-press the 3 dots and turn them off.

4.i turned off usage info, setting - about phone-usage info

5.i drained the battery to around 5% then charged to 100, immediately cleaned cache and reseted apps preferences.

6. Restarted the phone

Now it's a bit better i also have airplane mode on most of the times.

Please check if you have made any login or permission changes to accounts used on the Xperia XA phone. For example, my wife's Xperia XA (F3111) mobile suddenly showed rapid and persistent battery drain losing, around 10% every 15 minutes and the phone got very hot indeed. I soon realized that I had recently changed the password for my Google account on my laptop an hour earlier and I found that my Google account and Gmail was also still resident on my wife's mobile phone, even though she'd never had reason to access it. I corrected the password for my Google account on her mobile and switched off the Location and Bluetooth device settings. The battery drain has stopped and the phone has stayed very cool. I had previously switched off 15 other apps but that didn't prevent the battery drain. Even switching off the 'Location' device setting for Google and Google Play apps failed as it was automatically reset to 'On' by Google Play Services. It was only after I removed the Location and phone component permissions for all Google applications that her Xperia XA battery started performing correctly. I suspect Google services were persistently hogging the mobile phone device resources and battery power by trying to repeatedly reconnect to Google servers using the failed password. One could argue whether Google or Sony are at fault in allowing such a wasteful drain of battery resource resulting in the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous heat build up in the mobile phone battery. Either way, this solution worked for us and I hope this may help any other users of Xperia XA phones and perhaps other makes and models too.
