XZ1 Compact alarm not ringing

It has been several times I discovered the alarm clock doesn't ring. It is still happens randomly with the latest version of firmware. The alarm volume was set to maximum, the do not disturb mode was not on, but it just doesn't ring. The screen won't even turn up.it with start to ring only when I turn on the screen afterwards, while the screen will also be displaying swipe to dismiss too.

The thing is Sony don't upload the app to Google play, as well as that same as stock phone app that keeps force quiting. However the clock I can get now on Play is different from the one for Oreo.

It happened again today, I seems to get a clue now, it reads the alarm had been snooze, where I've never done that. (And ridiculous, how will I even be able to snooze the alarm at 0059...

Same trouble with mine. The only difference is the time it's snoozed since. It's 02:59 for me.

Ik have the same problem with my xz1 (not compact) the alarm ⏰ is not making anny sound or vibrates

Further observation shows it works fine at the weekends and doesn't on business days. Looks like some regular task(s) scheduled for 3 AM on weekdays snooze alarm and prevent it from ringing at the proper time. I have not found yet if those tasks are from OS or Google apps or from any other app.

It started working for me with the last system update v. 47.1.A.12.34.

do you have any xperia actions activated? for me when i set an alarm and the focus action was on, it didn't ring

yes, I do have the first one of xperia actions activated. I'm not sure how it reads in English... should be something like "before sleeping". And alarm is working for me.

You might experience that your recurring alarm sometimes does not ring. This is a known behaviour that will be corrected in a later software release.

Note! Software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device. In addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Until the new software is available, try one the following workarounds:

Disable your recurring alarm and enable it again every time you want to set the alarm, for instance, every night
Set a couple of alarms with some minutes in between, for instance, 7:00 AM and 7:05 AM.

Affected software: 47.1.A.12.34 or earlier on Android 8

Problem is NOT SOLVED. Just lost a very important meeting because of it. I am so angry I wanted to smash the stupid phone. I will get an alarm clock. you very much Sony.
