Hi,
I just noticed the following issue:

When someone is calling me it is not possible to use the home button or app selector button to get incoming call into the tray without reacting to it.

In previous Xperias it was working.
Now, you are doing something on the phone, someone is calling you and the calling dialog is appearing on top of previous app, YOU HAVE TO accept or reject it in order to see previous screen or simply do something else on your phobe.

But sometimes there are reasons I do not want to take any action and still doing other things on my phone.

This is a big issue for me on XZ, using home button or other buttons in such scenarios was working perfectly fine on previous Xperias, Sony please fix this bug.

Thank you.

Hi @azzido, I'm sorry to hear about this and I understand this must be frustrating.

I just tested this on a Xperia XZ with the latest software update and when I received a call and the phone was locked I got the option to either answer or decline the call. However when the phone was unlocked and I was using it I only got a small notification at the top of the screen with answer or decline as options and I could continue using the phone without answering or declining the call.

I'd recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode to see if there is any difference when you receive a call.

Let me know how it works in safe mode!

Hi,
I'm also facing the same issue and it seems the device is blocked and it's not able to receive calls.
The reboot resolve the problem but is's absolutely not a nice solution.

It seems the problem appeared with Android 7.0 upgrade.

Roberto

If that is correct, one of your downloaded applications is the cause of this behaviour so make sure that all applications are updated to the latest version in the Google Play store.

I'm afraid that there is no easy way to find out which application(s) are the cause of this but I'd recommend that you start uninstalling the most recent applications that you have installed if you still experience this behaviour after you have updated all your applications.

Let me know if that helps!

You can try and reset the data for the phone application. To do that, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps/App info > Phone > Storage > Clear data > OK.

In the same menu (don't tap on storage) you have "Notifications" tap on this one and then tap on "Default" > Behaviour and make sure this is set to "Make sound and pop up on screen".

Let me know if that helps!
