Calling screen "issue"

Hello everyone, I just wandered if anyone knows if you are anyhow able to activate calling screen to be like before? I'm being annoyed that I must to unlock the screen every time someone calls, even just to see who's calling. And if it's going to be enabled in a future update? I hope many of you agree with me.

Don't know exactly what you mean, the calling screen is available when receiving a call without needing to unlock the screen. Since when are you having this behavior?

Not on my XZ Premium with Android Pie. That's a security feature that comes with update on Android Pie. Does it work for you normally like before?

Yes; I also have the phone updated (XZ Premium) to Pie and when recieving a call, even with the screen locked, the calling screen behaves exactly as before (you can answer or reject the call and after ending the call the phone returns to the locked screen). Can you tell where you read about that security feature?

I can't find it now, but I think it was somewhere in the lockscreen settings. Maybe I just thought so, but still, it's really annoying. I hope it's going to be alright after one more update from Sony.

So I just solved the issue. I just cleared all data from the phone app and it just works again. 👌😁

I have the same issue for the last few days after the pie update .My phone rings screen stays black after press power button to get screen on then the ringtone stops then have to unlock phone to answer it ?

Solution:

Hold on your call button to open properties, clear all app data and it should work again. That's how I solved it.

Receiving calls

Screen remains black when receiving incoming call. It rings and vibrates. Have to press the power button, draw my unlock pattern, select phone, the select continue call in progress before I can answer call. Any suggestions?

Make sure that nothing is blocking your proximity sensor, either it was a cover, screen protector, dust, or fingerprints.

I can't answer calls from lock screen

Since the Android 9 update I don't get a call answer button on my lock screen.

Even after unlocking there is no desktop call answer option.

I have to unlock, and then drag the top notification bar down, to answer calls.

I've reset apps, I've restarted multiple times. I've gone into apps & notification and phone but every thing in phone notifications is disabled.

I don't want to reset my whole phone if possible.

The previous version before Pie was working perfectly (ie swipe to answer). Please bring back that option.

Hi, when I receive a call with the screen locked, it stays black and the incoming call screen does not appear. I have xz premium, pie and patch on December 1st.

Hello,

I have the same problem, after a new phone upgrade to Android Pie last week, when an incoming call arrive the screen is black.

I've tried to start the phone in safe mode but the problem persists. Olso the proximity sensor test was good.

I think there is a software problem, it sems a notification problem.

Someone can help us please!

Since the last update, when my phone rings it doesn't show up on the main screen, I have to drag the top bar down to answer, by the time I've done this thee phone has either gone to answer machine.or they've hung up, please help
