I updated the latest system update on 16-02-19 and since then the phone cannot boot, it shows the white sony screen and then shows the dead android red triangle error screen.

I firstly tried sony pc companion but the only suggested solution is to do a software rebuild that will wipe all data and I've got some really treasured unbacked-up photos from a few months ago that I really don't want to lose.

I've tried to launch the android recovery mode but no combination of buttons and vibrates (camera, power and volume up together have a different vibrate) can get a different screen. I've finally tried connecting the phone to a computer (windows 10) but the phone keeps trying to boot and fails to ever be properly detected by windows or any other applications (I get a device not working properly or malfunctioned error).

Is there any way to save the photos from the phone?
