Discharging issues xz3

Hi Everyone,

I'm having an issue with my xz3.

Great device, but lately my battery will not hold even a day. Before it was no problem and I have not changed my behaviour or apps. Should I contact my service provider or can sony help? The phone will by 1 year old in october. Sometimes it is also overheating, without a reason. Does anyone else have these issues?

Hi @Winn102, let me see if I can help out here!

Have you been able to check if there is an app or a function in the phone that is consuming more battery than the others? When you have used you device from 100% down to about 10-20%, you can troubleshoot the main causes of your battery drain by going to Settings > Battery > Advanced. Which apps/functions are on top of this list, and at what percentage?

Hi Martin,

I have checkt your advice. The app 'my drive' from TomTom has sucket aprox. 75%. So I reinstalled the app. Now it got better, but the phone forgets the connection a then I have to reconnect everytime. So either it **bleep** all the energy or it doesn't work as it schould 😔

So it meanst it is not an issue of the battery.

I am glad to hear the the battery is not the root cause of the battery drain. Have you been in contact with the manufacturer of the app to see if they have any solution to your query?

I sometimes use TomTom Sports on my device.

After use I uninstall it because it has the nasty habit of unstoppable activity in the background.
