I had a problem with the fingerprint sensor.

My xperia xz3 is water resistant. (It should be noted that this is very careful, no blow, no fall, or anything broken).

This slipped into the tub for a few seconds and I pulled it out immediately.

A hardware sensor error message appeared. When you restart it (once the smartphone is dry) the trace has disappeared.

That is, as if the smartphone did not have a fingerprint. It does not appear in the fingerprint manager in "settings / blocking options".

I tried to do a hard reset, but it still does not appear ... # xperiaxz3

Hi @Dra1990, sorry to hear about this.

As there is no setting available in the phone enabling you to add or remove the fingerprint manager from the settings, I suggest that you try to repair the software using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair.

If the fingerprint manager still does not appear after the software repair, I am afraid that the only thing left to do is to get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and possibly repaired. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

It is water resistent only with the contact of clear sweetwater! Soaps, foam baths, shower gels or any surfactants change the surface tension so it probablay happened that water came into your device and made a short circuit.
