Touch screen problem xz2 premium

The touch function isn't working all of the time and doesn't register much at all when using games or apps and I've only had the phone for a few weeks and I have to shut everything off to get it to start working again would this be a firmware problem or is this phone a lemon?

Could you test your device?

Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test

Settings > Support > Tests

Also, does your phone has a protective case, film or glass?

I've been testing randomly and sometimes oi can get through them and other times I can't, I don't have any film on the glass and have to restart at least every second day when it gets really annoying. I do notice it more when I'm playing a game where it will become a little jumpy before not registering my touch.
