Can't play videos

Hi all, right I have a xpirea x and when I record videos it plays fine, but after about half hour it can't play it anymore, it just comes up with a black screen saying "cannot play video". Is there anything I can do?. Thanks in advance

Boot in safe mode and see if you can play the videos onces in safe mode.

How to boot on safe mode on Lollipop

1. press and hold the power key
2. once you get the pop up menu
3. press and hold "power off"
4. Boot on safe mode should become available

Where are you saving the videos? Internal Storage or an SD card?

No they don't play in safe mode and yes saving to sd card
