topic Screen dims when phone warm in 10 Series

After watching a video or doing video chat for a long time, the screen dims to about 60 percent and won't go back to 100 percent for a while even though I move the brightness slider all the way to maximum.

Adaptive brightness is turned off. I also did a factory reset.

One mobile store staff member told me that this is normal, it's a type of protective mode to protect the LCD screen when it's too warm or has been used for too long.

I'm not sure I believe him! This is becoming annoying, can someone please offer another explanation or solution to this problem...?
