Google Assistant button as camera shutter release

Hello!

I just received my X 10 III and I am little bit disappointed that the "ok google button" can not be set as camera shutter release.

I searched all the settings and I only found that you can set volume buttons for this feature. But volume buttons are on bad position for this thing, unless you are left-hander.

Are you planning to add this feature in future software updates (for example as a new setting in the camera app)? I think lot's of people will welcome this sollution, moreover when dedicated shutter release was standard for previous models and this google button is on the same position.

Same here. VERY frustrating. HW shutter was one of the best things about Xperias. Assistant button is useless on ALL phones having it, especially if google forces it on homescreen and lockscreen anyway.

Have you tried any of the button remapping apps in the play store?

I tried three of them (with the most downloads) and they couldn't recognize the button.
