Anyone notice this when using black wallpaper? The top part of the screen will always be lighter. And if you use a light color wallpaper, it will be darker. I can understand the logic for light colored wallpaper but I don't understand the logic for dark or black wallpaper having lighter shade since the contrast of the letter (status bar) are white. Can someone from Sony explain?

Hi guys!

I have the same lighter shade. I am glad I am not the only one. I tried the screen test or games where the portion of navigation bar is black and from what I can say, it is pitch black in the cases.

To reply your concern, consider this: isn´t it just to avoid the burn in? I am just speculating, but since the status icons are completely white and shine, the surroundings were created with some ligher hue just so the burn in is not such risk, because for OLED there is no light with black, but some light with grey or "lighter" black, hence the tear and wear will not be that different comparing to the white status icons. That would be my explanation.
