Finger print sensor stopped working

All these days the FPS would not work often for unlocking the phone , but would work with banking apps...

Now it has stopped working completely.... I get the error "Coudn't process fingerprint" even when i try to set up a new fingerprint....

This phone is fast turning into a piece of Garbage I am starting to think if i a fool for sticking with Sony

I had the same

I had the same issue. At first because the memory of my phone was full, but later I deleted everything and installed software again, now I don't even have a chance to register finger to unlock the screen. I asked in local support center and they advised me to restart my phone... Well, I cannot find it anywhere. It's not the only issue I have after installing new software.

Did you use Xperia Companion to repair the software?

I had the same issue too. So disappointed to SONY. Never put effort on their software. Will not buy SONY Smartphone anymore if there are not improving there software. BTW, I'm a SONY fans.

Try deleting the fingerprint from the system and re-regsitering it.

When you try that does it register- if it does sensor ok, if it cannot recognise your fingerprint there then try a software repair or factory reset, if still not joy see your local SONY authorised site for repair.
