When video calling it's incredibly blurry making it look like to have a filter on my face kinor some kind of skin smoothening effect (to a very severe degree) I can barely make out my facial features

What can I do about this? It's very upsetting when I'm trying to speak to family abroad.

@Terrinotts sounds silly, but you could try cleaning the front facing camera in order to make sure it's not just a dirt blurring out the contents of the viewfinder. other than that your best bet would be to contact Whatsapp support, as Sony can't really do anything about an app that isn't being developed by them.

Have you tried disabling Soft skin effect from the Front Camera settings?

Anyway if you are talking about the video con to videocall somebody, it has no options, you just click It and videocall starts.
