Take the phone to a sony service. It is normal to overheat when used intensely, but if it makes your things dissapear,it could be bad.

The phone getting hot is normal but it should be getting to the point where it malfunctions. If this continues it would be worth returning it so that it may be assessed by an authorised agent.

Yes that's exactly what I mean excuse my jargon, so I can take it that you must not use internal memory (even though you can not move to sd card) to put films on to look at when travelling abroad?

The internal memory should be used for anything,I do not think there is an interdiction. But it is usually for apps, messages, contacts, updates,OS.The microsd card is used for storing media.
