the z2 Digital Noise Cancelling Headset MDR-NC31EM is basic with the z2 phone or i have to buy it ?!
cuz i just bought my z2 before yesterday and the Earphones that came with it wasnt the Digital Noise Cancelling ones
and when i bought the phone it was sealed by the warranty and the warranty name is Delta and i live in Egypt
so please tell me what to do cuz one of the main reasons i bought the phone is the noise cancelling Feature and it wont work on any headphone only Digital Noise Cancelling Headset MDR-NC31EM

no i didnt buy the phone from a advertise in my country i bought it when i saw it on the internet and every ad on the internet says that the noise cancelling headset comes with it
and now u tell me to buy em seperate?!
i just paid 5700 L.E in it i cant afford to 1 more pound on something its supposed to come with it right?
and the problem is not the headset the problem that the feature of noise cancellation works only with this headset so it have to be with the phone right ?!!!
i hope iam not being rude but iam not satisifed with this

I don't work for Sony and nor did I tell you to buy it - I pointed out clearly that you can buy them unless it was advertised as comming with these headphones - So this is an issue between you and the place of purchase - If that was direct from Sony and Sony advertised this phone as having these headphones free then speak to Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

tried the customer care but they didnt know which headphone comes with the phone they say it depends on ur warranty

It's all down to region. I got the NR earphones, some don't, some people got other accessories. So it really does depend on where the handset originated from.

The noise cancellation headphones is not part of the package in Z2. It may come only as a promotional item in different markets. I got mine as a promo item from my telco separately.

Hi, as explained above..........whatever accessories that come with your Z2 depends solely on where you live & which network provider you use.....

Some people when they get their Z2 it is boxed with a SMARTBAND, some people get the MAGNETIC CHARGER, some people get a LEATHER CASE, some come with the NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES but some come with just the standard headphones.......for instance mine came with the Noise Cancelling Headphones.....

If your Network Provider/Shop advertised the Z2 with the Noise Cancelling Headphones and they were not in the box then you do have a case with them.....but if not then i'm afraid there is nothing that can be done.

i have the option in the phone its like this in the sound effects file

if u put the noise cancelling headset it adds 2 more features :
1- Noise cancelling
2-Noise enviroment

Hi LostControl, I highlight this portion of the link for easy understanding:

You see, a stand-alone active noise-cancelling headphone set usually has a battery and a digital signal processor built into it. These extra components, obviosly, take up some space. The Sony MDR-NC31EM earphones, on the other hand, don't have a built-in battery or any DSP circuitry inside of them – sound processing and battery power are provided by the device they are plugged into. This, supposedly, has also made the headset much cheaper to manufacture."

What Sony created is to have the active noise cancelling built within the phone itself and lower the cost, weight and size of the earphones. I do agree that it is somewhat odd that it is not a standard accessory for the phone. Maybe when more phones adopt the same technology, there will be cheaper alternative to purchase.

thanks bearings but what iam trying to say if they are not going to give it in some phones why they doesnt ad the phone with the normal headphones and put it in all the phones and just say if u want it u have to buy it that will be alot easier for the customers
