Thanks Thommo. Much appreciated. I'll give Vodafone a call. Sounds like a bit of money grabbing from them as never had this issue with previous networks.

Z1 C6903 on Kitkat 4.4.4, build 14.4.A.0.108, UK on Vodafone

I have had this problem in 4.2 and 4.3 and still not working in 4.4.4. If I go to Settings/Call settings/Call forwarding and select Always forward I get the option to manually add a phone number or access my contacts to auto insert a number. I then select Enable and the phone takes a little time updating settings, finally confirming that the Always forward option is set with the chosen phone number.

However, if I then ring my phone it does not divert the call, I just get a continuous tone. The only number it does seem to work with is the vodafone voicemail number of 121.

Has anybody experienced this or can Sony confirm if this could be a vodafone issue on their handset?

Thanks

Have you set this feature up with Vodafone - I'm with Vodafone and had to set this feature up with them but there is a charge for doing so - So they will give you a number, It won't be the number of your forwarding number but your network will know that any calls to said number they give you is to be forwarded onto your alternative number
