Is anyone else getting poor call quality on the compact? Is there any settings to tweak that will improve it?

The sound seems to be mumbled and echos during calls.

My daughter and I have both recently purchased Z3 compact and are experiencing poor call quality. we can be hear clearly but the calls fade in an out and are very scratchy. we are on the optus network and had no problems with our previous iphones on the network.

turning of background noise suppression has not worked.

Just got z3 a couple days ago and love it. However the call quality is bad. I can hear them and they can hear me but I also hear this cracking sound. The volume isn't all the way up so I don't know what could be causing it. Any help?

I also have a Xperiea Z3 Compact which I am experiencing similar call quality issues

The recipients state that the call appears to drop / mute or gets very scratchy

I have tried with Michrophone noise suppression on and off and it makes no difference

Model is D5803

Android version 4.4.4

I have already sent one handset back to Vodafone UK under warranty for the same problem

Apparently, it still isn't fixed on the Sony Xperia Z3 compact. Just bought a new one (April 2017) and the sound is garbled on the other end. Sounds like someone with a mouth full of marbles in a fish tank. Tried all of the fixes software update, factory reset (twice), and different sim. I like the phone because it is small and the battery life is the best. However, I'll probably get an old I-phone or a Samsung 5 mini. I'm returning this one, but I don't dare get another Sony. This seems to be an ongoing issue with their Phones, based on my internet inquiries.
