same update after factory reset(4.4.4)

Hello,
Fews days back i did a factory reset my sony z1 because my cell became very slow.now the problem is after the factory reset the 'update centre' is showing the same update kitkat 4.4.4 with same build number and says computer required.my problem is i am already on that andriod version.so should i do the update again using pc companion? Please help!

Can't hurt to try otherwise you will have a constant notification

Thanks for your reply sir.you want to say that i can update it?..can u tell me why i am getting the same notifictn?and in future i will get the ota updates directly through wifi or i have to always use pc companion?

No idea why you are getting it - You could try openning settings then apps and swipe to all and locate and open update centre and tap on clear cache and clear data then open the update centre app and refresh to see if the notification comes back,

As for OTA updates - This will depend on wether or not the update has been released as an OTA update as not all do

I did as you said but when i refreshed it.it started showing the notification again.my question was after the update are released i will get it over wifi or i have to use the pc companion.as pc companion takes too much time.till now i always got ota upate over wifi.i dont want to update my cell always using pc companion whenever sony releases it.

On this occasion unfortunately you will have to use PC Companion as for future updates, this will depend on wether or not it gets released as an OTA update

i tried to update my sony xperia z1 using pc companion but after downloading the update.at the third step i.e update the pc companion restarts my computer.i am not able to update my sony xperia z1.i turned off my firewall too.pls help:smileysad:
