Cant turn off silent

i put my phone on silent, it ran out of battery, now after turning it back on i cant get it off silent mode, the volume buttons wont allow me to and when i try to do it in the menu the volume thing youre supposed to slide to the right is greyed out

PLEASE HELP

Welcome to the community

If you press the volume buttons to bring up the sliders then press on the silent mode icon, this should bring that out of silent mode.

@lewisgolledge What you can also try is to reset app preferences under settings-apps-all.

in the silent mode settings make and run a schedule that enables silent mode, then disable it. thats the solution i found
