HI bought these headphones to go with a Fiio DM13 portable CD player and the sound when I have the cable in is very good for the volume, but when I try Bluetooth I have to put the volume on the CD player up to 99 to get any volume, and It's still too low what can I try to have tried a cheap pair of Motorola headphones and these are OK with good volume coming out of them The headphones are brand new.

Hi @soksyA6000,

I believe it might be a compatibility issue as your other device must support A2DP Bluetooth profile. However, you can try these steps:

Make sure your headphones have the latest firmware installed: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wh-1000xm4/software/00261611

In the Sony | Sound Headphones Connect app; you can adjust the EQ settings to enhance the sound quality and volume.

Try resetting your headphones to factory settings. This can resolve any software glitches that might be affecting the volume: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wh1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP0002752746.html

I also use these headphones with my Fiio and had this problem. I solved it by turning up the volume on the player itself and turning it down on the headphones. If that doesn't help, check the Bluetooth version on your Fiio - older versions may not support good sound.
