gigajuke nas-e300hd is playing up

I have been having several problems with my sony gigajuke nas-e300hd.

This first thing is it keep switching itself off, it is when it switches itself off and the power light starts flashing. I know this can be fixed by unplugging it till the light stops flashing, but this is extremely annoying.

the other thing that is unusual is that now the power light goes off when I switch it on and on when I switch it off the opposite to what it should be.

has anyone experienced similar problems or know how I might fix them

Hi there

In two parts :

Unit keeps switch off (could be a fault or over-heating issue)
Power Light turns on when switched off. This is normal. Its a "Standby Indicator" and will light up when the unit is in standby and no light will be displayed when unit is off.

Did you get any further with this issue?

My unit has started doing the same thing and was wondering if it can be repaired or even if its worth the cost?

Hi,
no I even took it back to the Sony centre to get repaired but it kept doing
the same thing

Ahh - its probably not worth me bothering trying to get it sorted . The unit is about 10 years old now though
