Ht-xt3 reset from base unit

I have ht-xt3 and the remote control will not control the item. I have tried new remotes and used remotes and none connect. I assume it's a problem with the base unit. The unit connects to the tv and volume etc is controlled via arc.

I would like to know if I can reset the unit (I have tried holding down the power and minus button but this appears to perform a soft reset.

Just a tad frustrating not to he able to use the remote, the software appears to be up to date.

Welcome to the Sony Community.

I'd recommend performing a test on the remote control to see if it is sending an Infrared (IR) signal to the unit. You can see how to do this here.
