    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I own a Sony HTMT500 soundbar. A firmware update took place and has completely buggered my soundbar.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When it loads it says please wait and then goes to a home screen where it only shows the wallpaper. Please see attached image.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have reset it by pressing the minus button and the power button, I have tried a different HDMI port and switched it off and on again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sony have advised me to go to a repair centre but is there any way for me to do a factory reset without using the home button because that is where the problem lies as I cannot access the home screen.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="20200806_105822.jpg" style="width: 2880px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.sony.rs/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/455986i1BD45C37CA4DACF3/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="20200806_105822.jpg" alt="20200806_105822.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Punjabi_Gooner,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I guess something went wrong with the update and bricked the soundbar.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A factory reset won't help. The only chance is to send the soundbar to service.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
