Handicam has started producing blank or pixielated bars on recorded image, any advice to a newbie would be appreciated.

COuld you prove some more info as to what kind of Handycam it is or even the model number.

Also, when you talk about the blanking/pixelation, is this when imported to a computer, connected to TV or when just viewing it back on the screen?

Thanks for your prompt message.

Handycam is model no.TRV 620E

The bars are alternating with normal picture and gray blank bars.

This occurs on replay in the camcorder viewfinder, I have not got as far as transferring to my computer yet.

However, I am answering this in the hope it might help any other guy with a similar problem.

I resolved this problem by buying a video Sony video cleaner available from Amazon, and this worked very well, Thanks again for your help, much appreciated
