Good Afternoon,

This is my first time on this forum so I'm hoping I'm posting in the correct place!

I've had the above mentioned camcorder for a few years now & until recently have been downloading my videos & editing them using 'picuture motion browser' (PMB) on my old laptop. However, I've recently upgraded to a Windows 8 laptop & understand that PMB is no longer availabe & has been replaced with Playmemories ~ I am correct in that aren't I?

I also have a Canon camera & whilst I can download & view all my photos OK, I'm having real problems with my camcorder.

I've managed to download all the videos & indeed and see the various icons within Playmemories showing the clips I have taken however when I try to play them I get an 'error icon' on the screen which I've found online this morning means one of the following.

	Indicated when unable to find a photo or video. If you do not need to display this icon, you can clear it by selecting the [View] menu - [Refresh], or the [Tools] menu - [Update Database].
	Indicated when unable to display a photo or video.

I'm not very comupter savy so if anyone is able to help me in 'simple / layman' terms as to what I am doing wrong I'd be extremely grateful.
