5.1 channel via Optical Audio cable

Hello, I have such situation.

I have Apple TV 4K which is connected to TV KD55XE7096 to HDMI/ARC (otherwise 4K is not streaming from Apple TV) and Home Theater HT-RT4 which is connected via Optical Audio cable. The problem is that I do not feel that it plays 5.1 surround. I guess all Sony products support Dolby Digital, so there should not be any problem.

But still on the top bar, which temporary appears is still showing (Stereo 3840x2160) and I suppose it should be change according to output?

Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Can you try the following steps below and let me know how you get on.

Press the ACTION MENU button on the remote.
Select Sound adjustments in the Display & Sound category.
Select Advanced settings.
Select Dolby Digital Plus output in the Input related category.
Select Dolby Digital.
