Yeah my primary monitor is cloned with my TV and the TV is connected to my video card via hdmi. The monitor connection to my video card is via display port. I am using Windows 10. Also the input indicator shows up when I change a TV channel. Again the TV box is connected to the TV via HDMI.

Hi guys,

I connected my tv to my pc via hdmi and i have a minor, but annoying issue. When I play a new file or open a new window the input indicator shows up to tell me that I am using HDMI source. This happens every time I open a video file. Is there a way to hide this permanently?

My TV: KDL-48WD650

Thank you again for the help

Hi there

Are you just 'screen mirroring' the PC to the TV? If so, I wouldnt have thought that this would happen. Simply because the PC is already connected to the TV anyhow. But I am unsure on exactly how you have got this setup?

Windows 7 / Windows 8 or Windows 10?

Cheers
