On demand services on elderly Sony Bravia

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40HX753 purchased on 2011. It works beautifully and I usually access on demand services through a connected Freeview receiver/recorder box. I’m having issues with the recorder but I expected to be able to access catch-up services on the Bravia TV via the Internet. However, none of the apps that I expected to find are on the menu. Can I download them or do I need to buy a replacement Freeview box?

Hi @deborahjbruce I'm afraid your TV will be way too old for modern Apps. However if you don't want recording facilities, then a cheap streaming stick will do the job. Something like Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote (includes TV controls) (amazon.co.uk)
