Mute TV speakers automatically

Hello,

I have a Sony BDv E4100 and every time I play some video/movie/music I have to manually mute the TV speakers because the sound is delayed a bit.

Is there a way to mute the TV automatically when the content is played from the home cinema unit?

Also, I noticed that when I start the HC unit the TV is automatically started but on the last input mode (HDMI[1/2/3/4]). Is there a way to start automatically on the HDMI port where the HC is connected (HDMI1)? I guess this is not really possible since I have a LG model, but just wanted to be sure.
