BDPS5500 Bluray Player Compatibility with iMac

Just seeking advice on whether there is any way you can connect a Sony Blu-ray player with thunderbolt connected to an iMac and stream Blu-rays. I am reluctant to buy a little independent plug-in Blu-ray player as I've looked after my Blu-rays and I don't want any damaged whilst I'm in a temporary accommodation

I have the Blu-ray player with me and I wondered if anybody can recommend any appropriate software where this will actually work on the Mac. The context of previously plugged into Bravia Sony TV when there's been no problems whatsoever but if I'm able to make a temporary solution work I'll be able to watch some movies where I'm at at the moment. Any advice warmly welcomed

I suspect that your best bet would be to buy an inexpensive monitor with HDMI In, and use that.
