bdv-n7200w Can't use EQ options on CD or Bluetooth audio.

I have a second hand bdv-n7200w which I have given to my brother. When I had it I used it as mainly a Blu-ray player so didn't mess with any of the sound option buttons on the remote. My brother says that when listening to a cd or using the Bluetooth audio he wants change the EQ on the remote. The screen just says no use. Any idea how to get this working or what it should be used on if not the cd/BT?

@CardiacLoki I would have done a Power Cycle that sometimes resolve temporary glitches, also check if the TV or the DVD players are on the latest firmware.
