Hi Jedininja666, thanks this sounds like the sort of thing I need. I'll give this one a try.

As the BDP-S4100 sadly lacks phono output sockets, is there any way of connecting it to my Schneider home cinema surround sound speaker system which only has phono inputs? Is there an HDMI adapter which breaks out a pair of phono leads? (The Schneider came with a SCART lead with breakouts for the older TV connectors - It's old I know but it still works well and I don't wish to have to buy new just for the sake of a lead change)

My older BDP-S350 had phono outputs, so I might have to keep that as well just so I can play with good sound.

Hi there

Have you had a look at something like:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mini-Composite-Video-Audio-Converter/dp/B00BUQOQCG/

However you are also feeding video via the composite connections too, and therefore will loose the benefits of Bluray (HD).

For a component converter, try:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neet%C2%AE-Component-Converter-Supports-Lifetime/dp/B002C7CCJ6/

Cheers

This BDP has a coaxial digital audio port, so what you want is a simple digital coax-to-RCA adapter.

Something like: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Digital-Optical-Coaxial-Toslink-Converter-Analog-RCA-Audio/dp/B0074JZ8ZW

Hi Quinnicus, you're right about losing bluray benefits, and there is no composite output on the player so no joy with either of these links. Thanks.
