Firmware Update 1.70 - Is it safe to upgrade to?

Dear Forum Users,

I have an RDR-HXD870 that is on firmware version 1.65 and want to know whether it is safe to upgrade to firmware version 1.70, I have read numerous threads on this forum with users describing problems with firmware version 1.70 and very nervous with performing the operation just in case it causes more problems than its worth. I have read what fixes this firmware version and believe that some of the problems described in the firmware description are related to my problems.

Hi there

Normally firmware updates are a good idea and fixes issues. Considering that this update has been available for quite sometime, this would indicate that its entirely safe (if not, im sure it would have been 'pulled' long ago.

Just ensure that you follow the instructions exactly.
