Can't control screen settings on HDMI 2160p inputs

I have a Sony Bravia XE9005

I have SkyQ connected to HDMI 2 at 3840x2160p and I simply cannot change Display Area or any other settings for screen. In fact it shows the message "Not available with current signal".

The result is that with SkyQ I must watch channels in "Full Screen" mode and not "Normal" because I absolutely can't change it. And for some programmes it's really annoying as I see some black lines on the screen because the feed Sky broadcast is not for the "Full screen" mode

It's the exact same thing of this thread

https://community.sony.co.uk/t5/android-tv/can-t-control-picture-settings-on-hdmi-inputs/td-p/219409...

SONY MUST ADD the possiblity to change screen settings also for 2160p HDMI resolutions. The safe area is important also for UHD contents... not only for SD or HD

Can someone report them this issue and check for an update soon?

Hi @marcobremb  I very much doubt that you will find a TV in the entire world that allows you to change the aspect ration with a signal source of 2160p. (I admit I could be wrong). The workaround for you is to change the picture resolution to 1080i (or p) on your Sky Q box for non-UHD content (the vast majority of the time) and only switch to 2160p when you want to watch an actual UHD programme. I leave my Sky Q box on 2160p as the aspect ratio doesn't bother me.

I'm sure Panasonic and Samsung UHD TVs can.

And Sony should enable picture settings also for 2160p inputs
