Horizontal lines on KDL-48W585B on startup

Hi.

My tv has just started displaying horizontal lines across the top third of the screen on startup for about 2 minutes and then disappears. any ideas what can be causing it.

At the moment i am trying to get to grips with my new phone. At my age it takes a bit of getting used to so unfortunately i cannot upload and send a photograph but i will keep trying.

All i can say is that when the tv is turned on there are a lot of very thin black horizontal lines about 1mm apart starting at the top of the screen and finishing about 2 thirds of the way down. 

They last about 10 seconds to about 2minutes before disappearing in stages completely and they do not reappear until the next time the tv is switched on. Apart from that the tv operates normally.

I have been in contact with sony support but without any joy.

I have looked on youtube for any answers and the closest answer i could see was that maybe there might be a loose connection to a part of the main PCB but that is only speculation. It could be that the tv is just coming to the end of it's service life so it could be that i just wait to see if it gets any worse.

I'd contact a service centre for more information on whether this can be repaired, how much it would cost, and if the parts to repair the TV are even available. You can use this link to locate a service centre close by:
