I've had the A95K only a few days. Voice control using the button on the remote worked fine. But today I did something (no idea what!) to get a prompt asking if I'd like to enable "Hey Google". I accepted and it worked - even when the TV is off. But now I've decided I'd rather go back to having the assistant listen only when I press the button on the remote. I can't see any way of disabling "Hey Google". For now I've turned the mic off with the switch, but that's very much all-or-nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hi thesynman, The switch is located on the back of the TV, check out page 5 here: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/5037/8ae1da81d32652c7ae98be15167613f3/50373391M...
Yes, I knew about the switch (I think I mentioned it in my post) but I had assumed that if I set that switch to "off" then no apps would be able to use the mic. As it turns out, that isn't the case - I've just tried it, and I can still access the assistant by pressing the remote button, and the Meet app seems to still work. So thanks for the nudge!
Hey thesynman, the Built-in mic is something and the voice search is something else. Check the steps for this one here: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/jaep1/v1/en/01-08_01.html
Hello again, IDK why the second half of my comment disappeared. Try checking the options here to see if you can disable or remove the RC:
