Kd-49x8305c has sound but no screen

Hi. I recently had a problem on my tv. Screen had like a light white mist over screen then I turned it off and the screen is now black. Is there anyway I can reset this without the screen being on. I read the ads about the three button reset but doesn’t seem to be working. Help!! Thanks

Not sure about the white mist.

Does the backlight still turn on?
