I have purchased a new TV Sony XH80-65, When we first used airplay we had sound, however there is no sound when using airplay from any device IPAD, MAC , iPhone on any application or web browser.
The TV software is unto date
All apple devices are running the latest software
We have Sonos soundbar attached the the ARC HDMI port
We have tried with and without Sonos devices connected
I have tried a power reset on the TV - switched off for 5 mins at the plug
I have restarted the TV by holding the power button down until it restarts.
You seem to have covered all the basics. But have you tried a factory reset?
One other test that comes to mind is to connect the TV and the source device to the same Wi-Fi hotspot (routine network test)
