Software Update v6.6230

I have received a notice on my Sony Support app that there is a new software update for my TV - KD-48A9.  The software version is v6.6230.  I am always apprehensive with updates and have taken advice on this forum to wait a month before updating.  If anyone has updated any feedback would be much appreciated.

I updated my KD-48A9 to this version when the TV prompted.   So far no issues.

It was a little slow for a few hours after the update, but the release notes say to expect that.   After a couple of hours it was fine.

From reading the release notes it's a minimal update - extending a certificate and updating security patches.  Of course the usual 'improve stability' note.

It hasn't fixed the issue I get sometimes which is BBC iPlayer taking forever to load, sometimes failing to load at all.   Similar with other apps in the Sony Select line.

I haven't reset TV to factory defaults since it was on Android 9, so maybe time for a reset.

Wondering if this model will ever get a later version of Android than 10

Thank you for getting back to me.  I now feel reassured to go ahead and update.  I have no problem with the apps but on the odd occasion I lose sound when leaving the apps and returning to live TV.  The picture is excellent.  Thank you again for your help.
