On my old smart tv i had a button, when pressed, it displayed the text from the programme info in the guide.
I cant find this button on my sony remote. Where is it ?
I want to get the text from the guide on the program im currently watching, to be displayed with one button, instead of should go into the guide and from there read the programme info.

Hi @MangoDK Look for a button that has [i+], the Info button. It probably shares with [?]. If you cannot find it please share the exact model of TV and I'm sure somebody will point you to the place in your manual.

Thanks, you where spot on.
I have a H9005 and pressing the button you mention brings a sub menu along the bottom, guide is one of the options but there doesn’t seem to be an option to see the info of the film/show at the press of one button (or in that sub menu which would be fine). And pressing the button on the virgin remote won’t work now.
You need to press the i+ button (info button) to bring up the program information, or the Guide button to go to the guide to see channel info.
I too have had problems finding my way around my new Sony android TV. The main problem is that there are different viewing options that complicate the situation to such an extent that my wife has all but given up. The TV can be used in ‘TV mode’ (this is FreeView) and in this mode the i+ button brings up programme information when watching a programme, but does nothing when you are in the programme guide. In this mode you can record programmes to a usb, but cannot access any apps. There is also a ‘Live TV and catch-up mode’ (this is YouView). In this mode the i+ button brings up programme information when both watching a programme and in the programme guide. In this mode you can wind back the programme guide and also access all the apps, but you cannot record to a usb. See what I mean about complicated!
Most of the time, however, we watch through a FreeSat 4k recorder, which is much easier as it can do everything the TV modes can do and also pause live TV. If you press the i+ button when watching through the FreeSat box it brings up a sub menu along the bottom of the screen which relates to the FreeSat box rather than the TV (in truth, though, most of the functions don’t appear to do anything), and this menu is probably similar to the menu you describe.
When setting up the TV I opted to allow the TV remote to control the FreeSat box, not realising that this would deactivate many of the FreeSat remote buttons. I have now reversed this and both remotes now work as they should. Does your TV remote control your Virgin box? If yes, this may be the problem.
The remote supplied does not have -i or ? button.
Sony A90J. 55.
The remote has 4 buttons for You Tube / Netflix / Disney + / Prime Video plus all others buttons.
No button for info.RMF-TX621E
Thanks.
Looking at the user manual you should have it https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/iaep1/v1/en/01-07-02_10.html
@doc_akg, did you find it yet? I believe all the suggestions here should help. But let me know if you didn't.
