Deleting images from DSC-HX60V

I've recently found that I'm unable to delete images directly from the camera, I press the bin button, delete, then a message pops up saying deleting images but it remains. I have to resort to deleting images on my laptop which doesn't help if I quickly want to delete some images to free up space on the card whilst out. Any suggestions ?

The camera is able to erase single or mass files.

Maybe that you have a flash card issued (try to change it)
