I purchased an Xperia E1 exactly 7 days ago.It's a good phone.the battery charged till 100 percent on first 3 days,if I charge for 3 hours.but from past 3 days battery add shows only 83 percent even after 6 hours charging.it stops charging after sometime,even if battery plug is on,after reaching 83.I love this phone.I want a solution for this problem.

@roxstarash
That is a kind of bug present in the Android firmware or the phone itself. Even I have that problem and even others. The only way to charge your phone properly is by turning it OFF.
In my case it is impossible for me to charge while it is ON. When I turn it OFF and charge. I don't have any problems it charges at the right time.
Why don't you charge in the same way like me.

oh i see. so it means that it is a common bug? yes, i thougHt about charging my phone while it is turned off but i wasnt sure til you suggested that. so if i charge it whle it is turned off, it will charge normally?
and also, does this mean that the battery is not malfunctioning? the problem is with the android itself?
anyway, thank you so much for answering my queries. i am now somehow less worried. thank you very much @Sachin4u

Well I don't know what is malfunctioning the battery or phone but in my case if I can charge so well even without a slightest issue by turning it OFF then I won't even bother where is the problem because if you tell Sony regarding this they will say just repair it.

you have a point. and by repairing it, i wouldnt be able to use my phone... "repairing" it would not guarantee anything i suppose.
but anyway, thanks for the advice. i tried charging my phone while it is turned off, it actually worked! i do hope in the next days i charge it that it would still charge normally as it did today.
thank you again. 🙂
