I borrow books from my public library and read them on my trusty old PRS-T1. The procedure is I download an acsm file from the library's ebook provider (RB Digital), then use Reader for PC to synchronise with my Reader. That's worked well for years.
Now, however, RB Digital has changed the procedure. Instead of downloading an acsm file, I now get something that claims to be a file in ".epub" format. Reader for PC won't handle that, it throws up an error message "Error: F_PKG_MISSING_ELEMENT." Also tried downloading onto an ipad and that works fine ... but I prefer to use my Sony Reader !
So it's an epub that an ereader apparently can't open. Anyone got any ideas what might be going on, and how I can get these books onto my eReader ? Or has technology now moved on and it's time to bin the PRS-T1 ?
Hi ColBla
We are looking into this and someone will get back to you shortly.
Best wishes
