Sony LBT-XB500

My system is so old it's no longer listed on the Sony website.  I feel the website offers poor service and I should be able to email Sony direct, not via a forum.

My hi-fi system keeps switching itself off and going on to standby.  I was playing a tape in deck B, after about 1 minute, it wouldn't play anymore, so I tried switching it to deck A.  Still it wouldn't play.  Deck A then started clicking and clunking and shutting the system down.

Is this repairable and if so at what cost?

Hi DBland,

welcome to the Sony User Community forum..:smileyhappy:

I suspect a repair is required, there is probably an Sony authorised repairer in your area but get some quotes as it might be cheaper using a local audio specialist..

If you want to contact Sony direct then click on on the following link for contact details - Contact Sony Support

Hope that helps..:smileyhappy:
