I have recently got a CT260H Sound Bar. I have 2 threads with different questions about the set up but as this is mainly about the Blu Ray output to it I will post this question here.
Here is what we have
BDP S370 Blu Ray
CT260 Sound Bar
40EX503 TV
(Also Virgin Media TiVo, Wii and Apple TV but I think that is fine at the moment)
My question is about the Audio Output and the best set up for this. Looking at the Blu Ray menu it looks like it will only output PCM through HDMI, is this correct?
The TV (40EX503) has ARC and Optical out which I am lead to belive outputs Dolby Digital etc unlike most other TV's.
If I connect the Blu Ray directly to the HDMI on the Sound Bar will that be best, or will the ARC feature on the TV output the audio I want, or as it is set up now I think I have the Blu Ray connected to the TV for picture and then optical out from the Blu Ray to the Sound Bar.

If I loose nothing over HDMI to the sound bar or HDMI/ARC then I will do this.
Basicly I guess I need to know if going through the TV looses anything?
