Same here, and the player is still on the BBC's list of certificated players and is not on the list of Sony players that no longer have the right security certificates to use BBC apps. Nothing on either website about it, no warnings given.
The BBC iplayer help page has the following message
We’re aware of some reports that the BBC iPlayer app has suddenly disappeared on some Sony Blu-ray players. This is under investigation and we will update this page as soon as we have more info.
Yes. Mine has now reappeared but I had to select a new option at the top of the screen next to 'All Apps' called 'Update Services'. That disappeared after it had done its bit and iplayer was restored.
