I'm a bit peeved at the thought of having to faff around with downloads onto discs which are then put into the machine etc. But does anyone know if this is Apple mac compatible ?
I dont have a mac but you should be able to burn a cdr on a mac using suitable burning software, and create the standard finalised iso disk that just contains the actual firmware file which you download from the sony site
this is the .mem file
any laptop or pc with a dvd burner should be suitable for burning a cdr using appropriate burning software, so pc , mac or even linux like ubuntu should work, a dvd burner (or cd burner) is the same item no matter what box its in
so if you can create a data disk containing mp3 files or flac files or programme software files, you should be able to create a cdr data disk with the .mem file on it
a dvdr disk doesnt work - period, but a cdr or cdrw disk does when burned on a pc, so a mac should be no different when it comes to burning a disk
