"Youtube for TV" app not working on BDV-N590

The Youtube for TV app has ceased working on my system.  It used to work but increasingly crashed on start-up, and no now longer loads when selected only showing the following message "This service is currently offline. Please try again later".

I've tried reconnecting internet (wifi & LAN), resetting the whole system, updating the app list in settings, all to no avail.  However I am able to access youtube via the regular youtube app, although I can't login for some reason.

Hi there

The YouTube app on many devices seems to be having problems.  Unfortunately, it appears to be a YouTube (Google) issue.  I would recommend that you read some of the threads on the forum below and even post one yourself.
